Update regarding library service in Jefferson County
With the temporary closure of Alabama public schools and following federal and state recommendations to avoid clusters of population within a space, many of our local libraries have temporarily suspended public access to the library facilities. The services available at the libraries vary based on decisions made by their respective city and library administrators. For the most up-to-date information regarding the services available at your local public library, please contact your local library directly. All items that had due dates before April 15 were changed to be due on April 15. We recommend that you hold on to the library material for the time being.
Holds will be kept at the library until the libraries reopen for public access.
