Want to fit more steps into your day or explore the outdoors? Curious about getting active, but don't know where to start? Love an epic adventure? Wondering how physical and mental activity keeps the brain and body young? We'll have this and much more!

Wednesday Walk & Talk

Every Wednesday in June, log some steps and chat about books, movies and more during an easy stroll around Howard Lake before the library opens. The walk begins at the Lake House across the street from the library. Call 444-7841 in case of inclement weather.

Lonnie Holley--Special Event!

Birmingham native Holley first made his mark as a visual artist whose bold work has been displayed at the White House, as well as being part of permanent collections at esteemed institutions like the Smithsonian, the American Folk Art Museum and the High Museum of Art. Less known, but just as crucial and bold, is Holley's work as a musician and recording artist.
