Watch our video and see what we do

Watch our video and learn more about how our 40 libraries work together. Public libraries are transforming our communities and need your help!

With only hours left until the new year, we hope you will consider supporting the Public Libraries In Jefferson County as you make your year-end giving decisions.

Walk into any neighborhood library these days and you'll see hope - along with lives changing. Children are overcoming hurdles, becoming stronger readers and enriching their learning experiences at our programs. Seniors and families who are living on less are getting information, advice and are able to use libraries' free entertainment resources. The unemployed are attending free classes to gain job-hunting skills and getting the support and Internet access they need. Your gift will help us to put books into your hands and the hands of our communities' children, to continue services for the unemployed and those in crisis, and to provide families with access to information they need to get by on less

Thank you for investing in our library system in the past. Please help us continue the vital work and cooperative services for the 40 public libraries in our county. Please consider becoming a SUSTAINING donor by visiting our website and signing up for recurring electronic donations.

Families listening at the Avondale Library

"We love reading, but the library is more than just books. There’s a feeling of community here that you just don’t find at a bookstore. When we need information for a school project, we head to the library after school and talk to the youth librarian, who always helps us find what we need. Having all the answers in one, convenient place is pretty amazing."-- from a family
